Teaching

I aim to empower students by transforming complex economic concepts into accessible and actionable knowledge, fostering an environment where critical thinking and practical application converge

Teaching philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in three core principles: interactivity, applicability, and continuous improvement.

Interactivity
I believe that learning is most effective when students are active participants in their education. This belief drives my approach to structuring classes that are interactive and foster a dynamic exchange of ideas. I incorporate various teaching methods such as case studies, group discussions, and problem-solving sessions to encourage students to think critically and engage deeply with material. This interactive approach helps break down the complexity of economic theories and models, making them more accessible and understandable for students.

Applicability
Economics is not just a theoretical discipline; it has practical applications that affect everyday life and global economies. I strive to connect classroom learning with real-world economic issues and scenarios, which enhances the relevancy of the material and helps students see the practical impact of their studies. For instance, when teaching macroeconomics or finance, I integrate current events into our discussions, allowing students to analyze and debate economic policies and their implications. This not only keeps the curriculum current but also prepares students to be more informed and thoughtful economists in their professional lives.

Continuous Improvement
As an educator, I am committed to self-reflection and continuous improvement in my teaching practices. I actively seek feedback from students and colleagues and stay updated with the latest advancements in educational technology and pedagogical strategies. This commitment ensures that my teaching methods are effective, inclusive, and adapted to the needs of a diverse student body. Additionally, I believe in the importance of being a lifelong learner, which I convey to my students by example, continually incorporating new research and insights into my lectures and discussions.
