Retirement, Technologies, and Labor Economics

My research interests lie at the intersection of policy interventions, technology, and the economics of aging. I am deeply invested in understanding how strategic policy interventions and advancements in technology can address and adapt to the challenges posed by an aging population, particularly within the context of labor markets and tax systems.

Current Research Focus

My current research focuses on how retirement policies, such as the introduction of partial retirement options and adjustments to pension claiming ages, impact labor market participation among older individuals. My research aims to provide insights that can help tailor retirement systems to better meet the needs and preferences of an aging workforce, thereby supporting sustained labor engagement and economic productivity.

In addition to public retirement policies, I studied the efficacy of technological innovations and regulatory policies in enhancing economic transparency and compliance. I analyzed how tools such as electronic cash registers can influence financial reporting and tax compliance among businesses. This work is crucial for developing policies that can effectively combat financial discrepancies and enhance the integrity of tax systems.

Future Research Direction

Moving forward, I aim to combine my interest in retirement and technology research.

This includes studying how digital platforms influence retirement decisions and behaviors. My aim is to explore how technologies not only facilitate individual decision-making regarding retirement but also how they can be leveraged to design more effective and responsive retirement policies. Additionally, I plan to investigate how technology can aid in the dissemination and personalization of retirement information, helping individuals make more informed decisions that align with their long-term financial and lifestyle goals. This research will delve into the potential of digital tools to transform retirement planning from a one-size-fits-all approach to a more customized and adaptive strategy.
